Helping Hand Restoration

DSCN0118 2013-12-04 09.43.48This issue of the newsletter features Rick Provines, his journey to the Mission, and what the Mission has meant in his life. One of Rick’s first projects was to restore our Helping Hand.

As a wood carving, the years had not been kind. The original Hand was weather beaten, rotting in some places, and splitting in others. It is on the right. The picture on the left is what the restored Helping Hand looks like today thanks to Rick’s skill with wood. It’s now prominently displayed near our driveway on Amador.

Thank you for being our Helping Hand, Rick!
